Is known for its benefits of lowering bad cholesterol and blood sugar levels and removing excess fat from our body. When all these harmful substances are removed from our insides, we help keep ourselves from developing conditions such as constipation, and serious disease, obesity and diabetes. 1 And of course, after ridding yourself a significant amount of waste from your body, you enjoy the benefits of feeling light and clean.
There are two types of fiber:
Soluble (may dissolve in water) and Insoluble (does not dissolve in water).
Soluble fiber absorbs water and turns into a gel and attaches to food, sugars, bad cholesterol and fat in the stomach to help flush them out of your digestive system. This effectively helps reduce your risk for many life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, certain forms of cancer, diabetes and stroke. 1
Insoluble fiber, on the other hand, does not absorb water. Instead, it goes through your digestive tract largely intact and helps cleanse it. In addition, just like soluble fiber, it also promotes regularity and helps you manage your weight by making you feel full quicker, so you can minimize or even eliminate unnecessary snacking. 1

Fiber is also prebiotic. It selectively stimulates the growth of good bacteria in the colon to help improve your overall health. Together with the gut immune system, the good bacteria in your colon and intestinal lining help keep bad bacteria from invading the gastrointestinal tract. 2

Psyllium husk is a great source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, so be sure to include it in your daily diet!

There are lots of benefits that we can gain from including enough fiber in our diet,
some of which are the following:
Soluble Fiber mixes with partially digested food in the stomach.
In the small intestine, soluble fiber entraps sugar, cholesterol, and fat and slows their absorption into the body.
Insoluble Fiber and Psyllium move through the large intestine and promote regularity.
